Rochester Main Street Mission StatementWorking together to make Rochester a destination and source of pride. It is the responsibility of the group to define the duties of the subcommittees and engage qualified individuals to implement the plan. The group will monitor the progress of the committees in coordination with city officials to facilitate the revitalization in the most cost efficient and productive manner. It is also the duty of the group to keep the public and business owners informed and involved in the plan through public relations and marketing.
- To coordinate and promote the broad band of improvements in the Cecil Group Report.
- Forming subcommittees of qualified individuals to divide the tasks needed to accomplish revitalization efforts over a number of years.
- Outlining the duties and goals of each subcommittee. Along with coordinating efforts of the groups to accomplish the overall goal of the downtown revitalization.
- To apply to the Main St. Program.
- Initiate a semi-annual "State of Downtown" report to the city.
- Support and help implement private sector initiatives that are consistent with the downtown plan.
- Develop a Public Relations and Marketing Strategy to implement the business plan.
